Great read as always! ...As a UX designer I also wonder what are VC's top 5 pet peeves about data rooms... I wonder if data room layout, file layout/type & document formatting etc might also play a role in the problem.
Thanks for this! Something I’ve been thinking about as we consider whether a Series A round is the right move this year. I agree a DR that is kept up to date for ourselves is probably a good idea.
Some investors like to see the whole history, others just want 6 months. But then some like Blackbird just want to see the product insights and roadmap and don’t (seem to) care as much about financial numbers!
We started hearing investors say “not quite enough conviction for us to invest” during our last campaign and could never get a meaningful explanation about what they meant. Maybe it was our DR?
